We work hard to make a good salsa, sharing a salsa with freshness and great flavor is our goal. Another choice for all you salsa folks, only without all those preservatives. Most really “HOT” salsas are just that with no flavor, but “Fire In The Hole” has great flavor with the hotness. When I named the company “If You Dare” it’s just saying, try it you’ll like it, I dare you.
Treat your taste buds to something new and unique.

I remember always watching and helping my grandma make tortillas, refried beans, guacamole, rice, enchiladas and many other Mexican dishes. One of her specialties though, was salsa. It was the best! She used a mocajete, which is a 3-legged lava bowl with a tear-shaped lava stone that fit in your hand and was used for crushing peppers and tomatoes. We'd have fresh salsa with every meal. On Sundays, I would help her make enchiladas so we could sell them to local taverns for them to sell to their customers. They would get fresh salsa to go along with the enchiladas as well.

Although grandma's salsa was the best, I got a wild hair to try my luck with what I learned from her. After years of playing around with the recipe, I finally came up with a taste that is pretty darn good. For years I just gave the salsa away. People would offer to pay, but I refused. I wanted them to introduce their taste buds to an authentic flavor at my treat. After a lot of persuasion, I'm now sharing it with the public. In June of 2005, I started selling my salsa at the Farmer's Market in the Historic Haymarket in Lincoln,
Nebraska.
